Nigeria-Niger Freinship Association on Friday condemned the
coup in Niger Republic and called for the intervention of the unions in Africa.
Mr Ahmad Altine, Chairman of the association made this known in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
He said: “Our association condemns in very strong words the coup in Niger Republic.
“We call on African Union and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as well as the United Nations to put pressure on the junta to immediately restore democratic rule in Niger Republic.”

President Muhammad Bazoum for the trauma they were currently facing.
Altine called on all civil society organisations in Niger Republic to resist the coup.(NAN)
