Anambra govt. urges entrepreneurs from South East to utilise government facilities

Mr Ike Chioke, Chairman, Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) Governing Council, has urged entrepreneurs in the South East zone to utilise government facilities to boost economy of the zone.

Chioke gave the advice during a press chats with newsmen in Awka on Tuesday.

He said that the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, at Umueri Anambra East council areas of the state was among the facilities provided by Anambra government.

‘‘The successful completion of Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, at Umueri Anambra East council areas of Anambra on April 30 was a huge success.

“I want to tell my business brothers that the airport has opened a new corridor for investment and economic prosperity of the entire South East region.

‘‘We must cash into the success,” he said.

He said it was time for business men and women to redirect their importation and build dry wharf to sustain their business and attract good revenue to South East.

He said the Think Home Philosophy needed to be pursued vigorously to map a pathway of prosperity for the zone, since facilities were on ground to grow economy of the zone .

Chioke commended Gov.Willie Obiano of Anambra for his foresight to create a resounding economic vision that would develop the areas and create jobs for the people.

“With the International Cargo and Passenger Airport in Anambra, the state has fully stepped into its role as the gateway to the eastern economy,” he said.

The chairman said that the airport’s impact on domestic and international trades in the state would enhance trade with China and other economic powers. (NAN)
