The Mayor of Miami Dade County Florida, USA, has conferred the distinguished visitor honour on Dr Samson Adegoke, the founder and benefactor of Maigida Charity Foundation.
Adegoke, who made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, also revealed that the Ogbomoso sons and daughters in North America have also honored him with a most prestigious merit award.
The award was sequel to his unflinching commitment towards the development of Ogbomoso land.
He said that the awards were received on his behalf by his family in Florida.
Adegoke quoted the Miami Dade County Mayor as saying that the award was given to him ”in recognition of his vast travels, established academic dexterity and positive contributions to knowledge.
”Whereas, the Ogbomoso Sons and Daughters in North America honored him for his immense contributions to the growth and development of Ogbomoso land.”
Adegoke, a former Head of Finance and Account, Federal Medical Centre, Keffi is well traveled and has remained a recurring personality and benefactor for the diaspora association for many years in all they do, at home and abroad. (NAN)
