Kaduna-Abuja Train Service Resumes Operation four months after

The Kaduna-Abuja train service has resumed passenger operations; nearly four months after services were stopped due to the nationwide lockdown imposed as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The railway opened bookings for passenger services on Wednesday morning with four trains a day connecting Kaduna to Abuja. At the resumption of services at the Rigasa Train station on the outskirts of the Kaduna State capital, railway workers and port health officials were seen sanitising and decontaminating the premises as the railway prepares to resume full passenger service.
