Karan Patel, an Indian television actor known for playing Raman Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is surprised by Zeeworld actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide. Karan noted that on social media, Rajput had millions of followers but was a lonely man.He emphasised on the importance of being true and staying connected to people to whom we are close to in the real world rather than running behind numbers on social media.
According to Times of India, Karan Patel shared a picture which shows Sushant has many millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter but still he was “alone” in real life. Karan said, “Virtual world is fake.” He captioned the video as: “Sadly today we live in a world where the ‘number of followers’ has become more important than ‘following your heart’. In the effort of trying to reach out to millions all over the world, we are losing sight of the handful ones for whom we are in the world. #RestInPeace my friend (sic)”
He also connected Abhimanyu’s death in Mahabharat to Sushant’s and targeted the film industry. Karan Patel known for not mincing his words while speaking questioned the hypocrisy of many and called out all those only speaking on social media about mental health.
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 at his Bandra residence. His family reached Mumbai from Patna on June 15 and the cremation took place at Vile Parle after his post-mortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital. Today, Sushant’s former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande visited his residence to meet his family. She looked completely shattered and heartbroken, said Times of India.
