Stakeholders under the aegis ‘Team Maritime’ came together over the weekend, at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos to celebrate former Transport Minister, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi who they believe made reasonable impact to the growth and modernization of the maritime industry. The unique event also attracted the crème de la crème within and outside the industry.
Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman, among many other encomiums noted that Amaechi promoted gender equality, had a broader view at recognizing capacity and ensured that the job gets done without undue biases.
According to her, “He led the transportation ministry in such a dynamic way that enabled all the agencies to define the part. “He provides the leadership that is required to guide us and I will like to commend him for what he has been able to do within the period,” Hadiza noted.
