The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy and sunny weather conditions with prospects of rainfall and thunderstorms over most part of Nigeria on Monday. NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Sunday, in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy morning with day and night temperatures of 32 to 37 and 23 to 26 degrees celsius.
It added that there were chances of thunderstorms and rain over Southern Gombe, Southern Kaduna, Jalingo, Mambila, Lokoja, Makurdi, Abuja, Jos and Nassarawa axis during the afternoon and evening hours. The agency predicted that the Northern States would experience sunny conditions during the forecast period, with day and night temperatures of 34 to 39 and 13 to 25 degrees celsius.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience cloudy conditions over the inland cities, with prospect of scattered thunderstorms and rains over the coastal cities in the morning. “Later in the day, there are high chances of scattered thunderstorms to thunderstorms and rains over most places with day and night temperatures of 30 to 34 and 21 to 24 degrees celsius. “Prospects of rainfall activities increases within the forecast period, though very slim or absent over the extreme North,” NiMet predicted.
