Hope of sustained availability of petrol at filling stations may have been rekindled with the arrival of eleven vessels at the Lagos ports carrying various products, including petrol. From the Nigerian Ports Authority daily ‘Shipping Position’ the ships are waiting to berth at the various ports.
From the daily report, nine of the vessels, carrying petroleum products, are already waiting to berth, while two other ships with bulk fertilizer and containers would also berth at the ports.
Also 31 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports between March 6 and March 24, the Shipping Position showed.
