JAN, Lagos to empower 12,000 student entrepreneurs

JUNIOR Achievement Nigeria, JAN, is partnering Lagos State Ministry of Education on its Ready Set Work programme, designed to impact about 12,000 students from tertiary institutions in Lagos State, Ms. Ade Sofola, Director of Programmes, has said.

In addition, Mr. Adegbola Abiodun, Senior Programmes Manager, who has been serving as volunteer facilitator at the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) and Lagos State University (LASU) centres, said already JAN has also empowered 600 students from Lagos State Ready Set Work programme.

“In June, we announced the ongoing collaboration of JAN with the Lagos State Ministry of Education as one of the implementation partners for the 2017 edition of Ready Set Work. The entrepreneurs will be equipped with skills that will help them succeed in the work place and as entrepreneurs,” he stated. This August, JAN and twenty two other nonprofit organisations benefited from Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation’s 2017 grant scheme. (Vanguard)
