Katsina state government is to revive all the moribund industries in the state to boost revenue and provide employment opportunities to its teeming youths, Governor Masari has said.
The governor listed the industries to include; the Kankara Kaolin Factory, Daura Leather works, Mani Flour mills, Funtua Burnt Bricks, Danja Sugar factory and other various fertiliser-blending plants.
Speaking at the commissioning of PVC pipes and Tubes production line at Kankiya metal works, Masari said Public Private Partnership PPP option shall be deployed to see they become up and running.
According to him, the over-dependence on the government is largely responsible for the unemployment rate in the country saying government at all levels cannot provide jobs for all.
He added that establishing small and medium scale enterprises by individuals can help fast track development noting that investing a little of 50, 000 can help the economy grow.
