Entrepreneurs summit to hit the six geo-political zones

Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) is set to host entrepreneurship summit for the youth tagged, “Youth Empowerment Summit 2017 (YES2017)”, across the six geo-political zones of the country.

The summit is an annual gathering of Nigerian young entrepreneurs and youths at all stages of business development to discuss and x-ray the challenges and solutions proffer to youth entrepreneurship and empowerment in the country.

According to the organizers, YES2017 themed, Youth Empowerment: A Panacea for Unemployment, Economic Growth and Sustainable Development, will be hosted in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Yola, Kaduna, Enugu and Abuja with over 20,000 delegates, 1000 exhibitors and 60 speakers.

“YES2017 will also empower some selected 8,000 youths across the federation; 500 youths will receive business funding/business tools through YEN and other partners, 500 youths will receive free business websites, 1000 youths will receive mentorship and 6,000 youths will receive special business training/capacity building to support start-ups and enable existing youth entrepreneurs boost their respective businesses across the country.”

The Summit tour is slated to hold in South-West (Lagos), September 27-28; South-South (Port Harcourt), October 5-6; North-East (Yola) October 11 -12; North-West (Kaduna), October 18-19; South-East (Enugu) October 26-27; and North-Central (Abuja) November 1 -2, 2017.

National President, YEN, Mr. Chris Kohol said: “We need to engage and support the Nigerian youths and empower them to do exploit. I strongly believe we can collectively build a world-class economy for Nigeria through national and grassroots talent harnessing, unity of purpose, effective communication and youth entrepreneurship development”.
