Photography enthusiasts and professionals alike still have an opportunity to compete and win in the Etisalat Photography Competition by submitting their entries for the 2016 edition of the competition.
The year’s competition is tagged Performance with sub categories daily routines and celebratory and will close on September 11, 2016. To enter for competition, participants are required to visit photo.etisalat.com.ng to register and submit entries for both Daily routines and Celebratory.
Voting will be announced after entry closes on September 11, 2016. The top 50 images from each category will be reviewed by a jury who will then unveil the finalists at the Grand opening of the LagosPhoto Festival.
The Director, Brands & Experience, Etisalat Nigeria, Elvis Ogiemwanye, while speaking about the theme, Performance explained that Etisalat Photography Competition uses the power of photography to create compelling stories that encapsulate individual experiences and identities from across Africa.
“We wish to explore the strength of photography in depicting our daily routines and celebratory activities and expressions under the categories daily routines and celebratory. We believe that the competition serves as a platform to foster creative expressions that celebrate our rich heritage and diversity,” he said.
The first prize winner in the competition will receive a Canon Camera; the second prize winner will get an iPhone, while the third prize winner will receive a Samsung. The shortlisted photographers will also be enrolled at LagosPhoto Smmer School where they are expected to hone their skills.
