Applications for Nigerian Army direct short service to close September 25

The Nigerian army has called for application into its short service commission (SSC 46/2020) and direct short service commission (DSSC 25/2020). The army announced this in a tweet on Wednesday. The application will lapse on the 25th of September, 2019.

“The general public is hereby informed that the e-application portal for Short Service Commission (SSC 46/2020) & Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC 25/2020) is now open,” it wrote. “Interested candidates are kindly requested to apply using the following link ONLY. www.nigerianarmyms.ng”

Applicants, according to the army, must be Nigerian and should possess at least a first degree with not less than second class lower division or HND of not less than lower credit from any accredited institution.

It added that courses of study must also be accredited at the time of study. The army said applicants must also possess NYSC discharge certificate or a valid exemption as the case may be.

Closing date for application is September 25. The direct short service commission will be granted for 15 years, for an initial period of eight years, renewable yearly for another period of seven years, while short service commission will be granted for 15 years, 10 years will be on active list renewable thereafter for a period not more than five years.
