West Africa Crude-Nigerian programmes surface, spot trading quiet

More Nigerian export grades surfaced, while traders said Sonangol sold another cargo from its June export plan.

ANGOLA

* Traders said Sonangol sold its early-month Dalia, likely to an eastern buyer. The deal was not confirmed. Sonangol had been offering the cargo at a $1.50 per barrel discount to dated Brent.

* Sonangol continued to offer two other Dalia cargoes at dated Brent minus $1.50 per barrel, one cargo of Olombendo at dated Brent plus $1.40, Girassol at Brent plus $1.20 and a cargo each of Hungo and Sangos at 40 cent discounts.

NIGERIA

* The June Bonny Light and Forcados export plans emerged on Friday showing increases from May.

* Bonny loadings will rise to 195,000 barrels per day (bpd), from 169,000 bpd in May, while Forcados will increase to 298,000 bpd, up from 283,000 bpd.

* Traders said a cargo of Qua Iboe had traded at a premium of roughly $1 per barrel versus dated Brent, but further details were not available.

* There were still about 15 cargoes of May-loading oil left.

* Late on Thursday, Nigeria’s NNPC lowered its official selling prices for Bonny Light and Qua Iboe.

TENDERS

* Indonesia’s Pertamina issued a tender to buy up to 6 million barrels of oil for delivery from July to September. The tender closes next week.

* India’s HPCL was also running a tender to buy oil that closes next week.

* U.S. President Donald Trump criticized OPEC on Friday for output curbs that have helped raise global oil prices and said “artificially” high prices would not be accepted, drawing rebukes from oil-producing countries as prices dipped following his remarks.

* Angola’s state-oil firm Sonangol has opened bidding for stakes in two offshore oil blocks in Africa’s second-largest crude producer, Sonangol said on Friday. The blocks were once controlled by Cobalt. Reuters
